Silly Saturday

Hi. 2 posts in one day...wow. Here are just a couple of goofy pictures of the boys....

Ethan was playing so nice and quiet in his room this morning. I peeked around the corner and there he was playing trains while sitting in the laundry basket. I went to the living room, and got my camera. I just called his name and he turned around smiling. What a cute shot considering he HATES having his picture taken. :)

Here is Evan thinking he is a big shot...he can get in this chair all on his own. He doesn't seem to mind that his brother is laying on the back of the chair and the arm of the couch! Ha.

The Current Purdue Kid's Gang

The Purdue Gang got together mid-July to hang out at the Clark's house. We missed you Stamm Family...someday we will see you again! We were happy to finally meet the Hoffman's newest addition....Graham, who was born in June. So now we have Lucas, Ethan, Neil, Jacob, Aly, Elle, Evan, Lilly and Graham. I think that is everyone! The girls are gaining strength. BOYS= 6 GIRLS=3. We are anxiously awaiting the Clark's little girl to come in
August (that would then put the score at BOYS=6 GIRLS=4), and then the Maples will be having a baby in December...sex unknown! :) The Purdue girls could really use another GIRL! :) Here are the pictures of the gang's gang:

One of our last trips to Toledo, Ohio

Some of you know that my dad and step mom are moving to Quincy, Michigan at the end of summer...so we went up there to hit some of our favorite spots! We are also going up there over Labor Day to visit for the last time (well...Uncle Matt and Uncle Walter will still be there)...but in September we will be see the Purdue vs. Toledo football game. Ethan and Evan are going to their first game! :)

Anyways we had a good time. We went to the Toledo Zoo, and got some take out from Tony Packo's...the boys weren't in "dinner out" moods...or should I say mom and dad weren't! :) We had a lot of fun! :)

We went to the zoo to especially see this polar bear cub...I think he is about 8 months old now! :)

Uncle Matt wanted to make sure that Ethan saw the octopus! Yuck! :)

This picture has more meaning that you think. My brother and I were both born in Toledo, and both had our pictures taken on this elephant statue at the zoo. Also my dad as a child had his picture taken on this elephant!
Evan on the "family" elephant...for once he wouldn't look at the camera...too much sun in his eyes!

Uncle Matt and Ethan on the train...this train is TONS nicer than Indy's train...what is
up with it?????

Ethan with Paw Gary on the carousel. He sure loves zebras!!! He kept telling people that he rode a zebra...I had to let them know that I wasn't real. :)

Evan having a blast on the carousel!!!!
When we left Sunday we went to Warsaw to wish Grandpa Dave a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! We had a nice dinner, then had some homemade ice cream and some of Great-Grandma Betty's homemade Texas sheet cake! Wow. Then Ethan, Evan and Matt all got in the pool for awhile. Before we left Mimi and Paw showed us a new hobby of theirs....remote control boats! Matt and I had a good time playing with those on their pond...had some close calls! :) On the way out we saw a hot air balloon...you can imagine ETHAN!!!! Another busy weekend!

Vacation

Hi. Most of you know that we went on vacation from June 29th through July 7th. We went to Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina with Matt's cousin, Jen, her family, and 2 other families. There were 8 adults, and 9 kids. The ages ranged from Evan being the youngest to a 4th grader...plus an 8th grader that came along to help keep all these kids in line! Ha.

We had a good time, and GREAT weather. We drove down in 2 days since it was a 14 hour drive, but on the way home we must have lost our minds because we drove it on one day! Lets just say...that wasn't a good idea. :) The picture above is a picture I took while driving in the mountains...kids don't do this at home. This is at the North Carolina/Tennessee border in the Great Smokey Mountains...I sure do the the smokies!!!

Evan is such a ham...he loves to have his picture taken, and then there's Ethan...he just turns away!

Another good one of Evan...he loves the camera!!!

Here is one good one (sort of) of Ethan...he is very against having his picture taken!!

Ethan sharing...yes I said sharing...doesn't happen too often...too badhe is sharing with Snoopy not his brother. The picture was taken at a boardwalk amusement park. Ethan had a lot of fun riding all the rides.

Ethan and Matt coming out of the ocean water. All the boys (and mommy) had fun swimming in the water. Evan could not get enough of the water!

We had a pool at our beach house too. We spent a lot of our time there. The water was cold, but the boys loved it! They could only last at the beach for about 1 hour. Evan was just eating too much sand and seaweed! And you think I am kidding! :) It was nice because the boys could lay down for naps, and we could still hang out at the pool.

This is a funny picture I took while driving...once again...kids don't do this. As you can see Evan and Matt are asleep, and actually Ethan is too...he is under the blanket! Ha. This was about the only moment of piece the whole 15 hours home! :)

This can't be good....

Hi. Before we went on vacation, Evan was again having belly problems. He went to the ER and followed up with his gastroenterolgist in Noblesville. The doctor thinks it is one of two things: #1 He has an infection in his digestive tract due to taking all those antibotics for his ears or #2 Even though he is pooping every day...it isn't all getting out. So our homework: clean him out and take a sample to the lab!
