Nature

Well...you are now all caught up on all things Kearney! :) You can see why I haven't had time to blog! I will try harder this month...but it is pretty busy too! Here are some pretty pictures of some of our flowers.....

Warm weather and storms

The weather has been so hot and stormy here!! I am tired of it! What happened t0 sunny and 80 degrees. We have spent some time at the city waterpark on the sunny days.

One day they will get to do these slides!

Those were the fun pictures...and here is what Matt did before and after the pool! Yep...our apple tree came down in our Friday night storm. We had 70 mile/hr winds! We have been wanting to cut down this tree, but really weren't planning on doing it this weekend! Guess change of plans! :)

Then here is a picture after all the hard work!!! I can't take any credit in the help. Matt and a neighbor man (Dick) worked on it Sunday morning, and the Matt's dad and mom came over and helped with a larger portion!!! Thanks. Now we just need to wait on the city to come pick it up!! Ha.

Sick...double sick....scopes...good news

Over the last month...the boys continue to have miscellaneous illnesses. They had the flu bug that hit right after Arizona. Evan went back to his gastroenterologist and he recommended another endoscopy with some biopsies. He had that done on May 29th. I got a call last Monday from the doctor asking that I take Evan to get some blood work. They wanted to test him for Celiac disease. This basically is where someone has to eat Gluten free for the rest of their lives. We have had a very hard week waiting to hear the results. Today we went back to the doctor and Evan does not have Celiac Disease! Yeah!!! We are very relieved!! Evan goes tomorrow to his pediatrician for his 2 year well baby check. We will then talk about seeing an allergist to look into some other food issues!

Ethan not only had the flu in the month of May, but also Pink Eye and an ear infection. I am not 100% sure that it is gone, but we will find out tomorrow. Anyone else sick of taking their kids to the doctor?????? At least the gastroenterologist said...see you at the end of summer!!! We also need a new ENT for Evan.....fun...fun....

Happy 2nd Birthday E-Matt!!

May 31st we had a party for Evan's second birthday! It was a lot of fun, and he had a good time and I think the other 10,000 kids did too! :) We had a balloon lady come and make something fun for each kid and some adults!

We had a Curious George Birthday party!!!

Clapton Rocks....

A group of us went to the Eric Clapton concert on June 30th. It was GREAT! I tell you for a guy that is approx 64 years old....he sounds EXACTLY the same! The weather was horrible all around Indiana! We saw lightening all over the sky for most of the concert...it was almost timed with the songs! The rain held out for Clapton to play for about 1 hour 45 mins then it started to come down! The show ended about 15 mins early, but all in all it was great. I have never been in such a down pour! We all were drenched!!!!

Back and running...

Okay...I know that I haven't blogged for awhile and I am sorry. I have posted some new ones...make sure you have a cup of coffee or a diet coke.....I put a lot of stuff. This isn't even everything that has been going on with us! I will try to post some more stuff tomorrow!!! But...here is some at least to get you started! Enjoy!!!

Babysitting

We had a chance to watch Carson and Dayton for a little while in May. Eric needed to go shopping since he has lost over 40 lbs on WW. He looks GREAT!!!! The boys had fun playing together.

Evan loves babies....wish Ethan would have felt that way about Evan when he was born! :)

However, Evan loves Carson just a little too much.

Dayton playing with the BTB guys! :) Hiding from Ethan!

Here is Carson....Evan moved on to something else....just for a few minutes, then he was back for more kissing!

Family...family

Memorial Day weekend we did a bit of traveling. My mom's family all had a get together at one of her cousins houses okay...should I say property! :) The whole family (tons of family) all came to this land they have. They let the boys scouts use it. It is I think 90 acres, and has a campground (for lack of a better word) on it. A nice pond, bunk house, fire pits....nature. I love nature, but not sleeping in it. Everyone brought tents to sleep in. Well...me and boys decided to stay at my moms house in stead! Good idea. Matt and my brother slept in our tent! We had a good time just hanging out. sorry no pictures...not sure why. The kids took wagon rides behind the 4 wheeler, some canoed, played corn hole, badminton....and on and on. Then there was the food...never ending supply! The boys and I hung out there for about 10 hours and headed to Mimi's for the comforts of sleeping inside. I will say that the boys did take a nap in the tent! We returned the next morning for a huge breakfast, and then hit the road to my dad's house. We hadn't been to his house since Christmas! Wow....long time. He got a new boat so we took some ride, relaxed and ate! The boys also went to this AWESOME park they have in Quincy, MI. Who would have thought that this little town would have such a huge, fun park!!! The boys were a dirty mess after they were done playing there. Connie and I gave them baths and I have NEVER seen the water so dirty! DIRT+BOYS+FUN=good nights rest. One exciting thing that happened this trip was that the boys slept in the same room together! The have their own bunk beds there....don't worry...they aren't stacked. Anyways...they took a nap in the same room, and slept through the night in the same room. I have been waiting for this day to happen. Here are a couple lake/boat pictures.

Fun is over!!!

The day we left from Arizona I got sick...REALLY sick...won't go into details...but it wasn't pretty. Need I say....really sick.... Okay....me really sick plus airplane...equals really, really bad! Then when things couldn't get worse...Evan barfs...really bad...all over the MN airport!!! Then again on me during the flight to Indianapolis. Not good. Everyone but Matt got sick. However, it pretty much was gone as soon as it hit!!! No fun. Enough said!

Vacation out to Arizona

We went out to Arizona to see Marlyn and Hal. We had a great time. We played in the pool a lot, went to the zoo, out to eat, and to a playground....and of course shopping. Matt and Hal were able to golf a couple times, and Marlyn babysat the boys while she sent me off to get a pedicure and a Starbuck's! Thanks for the treat!!! Here are some pictures from the trip.

Ethan liked getting into the hot tub. Not sure why he wanted to sit in the 103 degree hot tub while it was 100 degrees outside! Silly boy.

Spent a lot of time here...Marlyn and Hal bought the boys these boats with squirt guns. Mostly the boys took the guns out and shot their dad and me! :)

This is Marlyn and Hal's beautiful backyard!!

This is as close as Ethan is getting to a motorcycle! I told him moms don't want their sons to have or ride on a bike like this...EVER!!!

Of course...Evan had to have his turn. I gave the same speech, and a little harsher to my little dare devil!!!

This helmet weighed more than Evan's head!!!

Larry let the boys start his bike!!! Excited about it, but scared them a little!

This is a park we like to play at! Love sitting in the grass and looking at the mountains!!

Evan took some flag out of the grass. Hope it wasn't marking some important electrical line! :)

Here is a picture of me...don't usually like to post a picture of myself, but I sucked it up!!!

Marlyn or "Gigi" as the boys call her on the carousel at the zoo with Ethan.

We like going to this Japanese Steakhouse when we visit. The boys REALLY liked it this time! Evan enjoyed putting his Diego Animals on his chopsticks. And of course Grampa Hal liked playing with Evan!

Here we are at the Japanese Steakhouse! Another photo of me...what am I thinking??? Thanks Marlyn and Hal for a great dinner!!

This was the last night we were in Arizona. We celebrated Evan's birthday a little early! We had another great dinner...thanks Marlyn and Hal!!! We were suppose to buy!!!!

Here is Evan and his birthday cake. He was so excited! Isn't this such a cute picture??

Here he is blowing the candle out...he did great!
